Description
Ayurveda is the sister science of Yoga.
One of the world’s oldest systems of healing, Ayurveda dates back over 5,000 years.
The word Ayurveda comes from Sanskrit:
Ayu meaning life and Veda meaning knowledge —
the knowledge of life itself. Not only human life, but all life.
In Ayurveda, health is understood as a dynamic state of balance between the mind, body, and environment. We are not separate from nature — we are made of the very same elements that surround us.
These elements — Ether, Air, Fire, Water, and Earth — combine to form the three Doshas:
Vata, Pitta, and Kapha.
The Doshas, also known as mind–body types, are unique expressions of these elements within each individual. They influence our physical constitution, emotional tendencies, and mental patterns.
Ayurveda teaches us that true health is not static —
it is the ongoing art of living in balance with ourselves and the world around us.
Workshop Includes: Yoga Class, Lecture & an Ayurvedic Meal
